The hardest part of writing something like a story or in my Dad's case, a sermon, is starting it. Sometimes, you get the opportunity to do something huge that you get to write about but then, your hopes die down when you have to try and start it. That's the trouble I have a lot.

So, Hi! My name is T.J. Lawson. I'm 10 years old and I'm in 5th grade. I don't do sports. I play music. My mom often thinks of me as "Mozart: The Child Prodigy". I can play Piano, Drums, Electric and Upright Bass, Electric and Acoustic Guitar, and Mandolin. The Mandolin is the newest instrument I've learned. And by "learned" I mean "1/3 taught my self,1/3 my step-Grandfather showing me a thing or two and 1/3 watching a movie that taught me the basics".

I take piano lessons from Attosa (Toppy) Kramer. She is a retired music professor at Berea College but she still gives piano and clarinet lessons. She used to be my Dad's clarinet teacher but now, she teaches me piano. I started taking piano lessons in 2009. Basically I had the choice to either quit drum lessons which I did with my uncle, Ken Marshall for a while, and take piano lessons or keep going with drum lessons. I chose piano.

In addition to playing music, I like to listen to music. My favorite radio station is K-LOVE Christian Radio 96.3 F.M.. Mostly, the reason it's my favorite is because it's only one I listen to besides radio stations that my parents listen to. Like, my Dad listens to WEKU 88.9 F.M. and my mom listens to 1360 A.M. when Dave Ramsey is on (Dave Ramsey is basically my mom's "Financial Hero"). My Mom may listen to a song from K-LOVE and find something theologically wrong with it and say that we probably shouldn't listen to it that much, but Dad bails us out. He says, "You know when I listen  to '60's music? All of that is sexual music. You know those books you guys read that may have violence and death and all that stuff in it?  But, guess what? I still listen to '60's music. We still let you guys read those books. So, I think you guys can get away with this." Works every time.............so far :).

If you look at Jessie's Page, her's makes mine look tiny. Especially since I'm ending this.
